Explore the tradition of the henna plant! Used during
Celebrations, Ceremonies to bring Health, Love, Prosperity & Protection to
it's wearer. Henna (also known as Mehndi) has been used for over 5,000 years to
paint and decorate the body (you may be familiar with it for conditioning the
hair!).
Henna is an all natural plant made into a paste. It is then painlessly
applied onto your skin (like decorating a cake with frosting!) when the dried
paste is brushed off it leaves a deep red/brown stain that lasts 2-4 weeks
depending on your skin type.
Henna works as a natural sun screen/coolant, is often used to treat skin
conditions such as eczema, psoriasis & ringworm. It has also been known to
lower fevers and bring relief from headaches!
But really...it's just
BEAUTIFUL!
Choose
from Contemporary to Traditional Arm, leg and wrist bands. African, Indian,
Arabic & Tribal hand and foot designs. Belly button, upper and lower back
and calf designs available.
WARNING!!!
For the record,
henna does not come in black.
Any so called "black henna" has been adulterated
with chemical dyes which are illegal in the United States, very dangerous and
have been known to cause long term damage (renal failure, anaphylactic shock,
respiratory difficulties and scarring in the worst incidents) The most harmful
of these dyes is called Paraphenylendiamine, or PPD.
Design ideas are endless! Henna can go almost
anywhere on the body.
I've even done a henna BRA!
And a beautiful pregnant
belly.
Henna...A Blessing on the Skin!
